Who is a candidate?
The MicroPen EVO is a microneedling device and accessories intended to be used as a treatment to improve the appearance of wrinkles of the neck for Fitzpatrick skin types II – IV and to improve the appearance of facial acne scars in adults with all Fitzpatrick skin types aged 22 years and older.
What does if feel like?
While some areas are more sensitive than others, most people generally compare the sensation to sandpaper being moved across the skin. Your medical provider will likely apply topical anesthetic prior to treating to minimize discomfort.
How long does the procedure take?
Once the treatment begins, it typically takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size of the area treated.
What will my skin look like afterward?
Some minor pinpoint bleeding is to be expected immediately post-treatment followed by bright redness which typically subsides after 2-3 days, depending on the level of treatment. Some patients may opt for a more aggressive treatment depending on their social downtime preference and skin needs.
How many treatments will I need?
Because of its low-downtime, patients often opt for light MicroPen EVO treatments every 1-2 months simply out of a desire to maintain their appearance.
